Perfect for a family outing .

Small but a great place for kids to visit and would make a great little family outing . Meerkats always a favorite šŸ˜. Had an excellent playground and sandpit digging area that kids would love .

Well worth a visit.

We had a great time, the meerkats were a favourite because they were very social and interactive. We watched Holly the Kea find and show off with a hard boiled egg. The staff were great, answering our questions about her and Kea in general.

Great small nature centre

Went with two teenage girls and we have a lovely time. The Kea talk was really interesting and even got to have one perch on my shoulder. The animals are well cared for and the staff obviously love them too. Definitely worth checking out if you have a love of all things natural.

Run down and boring

Staff couldn't be less interested. No real ambiance here and half the place was closed, under construction or "coming soon". Not worth it.

Nature land

Good little mini zoo would allocate 1 1.5hrs there, can pick a picnic and chill under the covered table areas. Not too bad on a hot summers day as thereā€™s lots of trees around for shade and shelter. Can feed the animals which the kids always love. Small play area with sandpit and trampoline too.
