Lovely couple of hours surrounded by nature
Scenic nature reserve with a choice of walks. Beautiful bush in a valley with a river flowing through. We were greeted by friendly volunteers who explained about the area and provide a walking map. We saw fantails and Kaka on our walk

Wonderful experience
Went for a trip in early April. Lovely quiet tracks with plenty of Tui and fantails to keep you company and only steps away from Nelson.

The Brook
We had a lovely stroll around the beautiful walk way, but unfortunately there were no birds to be seen that day. We were a bit disappointed but understand thats bird life.

What a wonderful surprise
What a beautiful space for our birdlife and for Tuatara Ruruku. Did the small loop track and can’t wait to go back to do some more. The staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. 5 stars!

A fabulous day out
A great day out with many different tracks. We saw most of the birds they are protecting and also we saw one of the tuatara. We spent just over an hour exploring the loop track and wildlife then popped out to have a picnic in the sun and returned to do the Jacob’s ladder and Koru track. Throughly enjoyable experience. Great work they do in the sanctuary.
