Lift off from the helipad in the picturesque Hoffnungsthal Valley and instantly leave the ordinary behind. Your helicopter ascent reveals the township of Lyndoch below before you sweep effortlessly along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley, where world-class vineyards ripple across rolling hills toward the historic Seppeltsfield estate. From above, you’ll spot palm-lined roads, perfectly contoured vines and the iconic Seppelt Family Mausoleum — details only visible from the air.

The journey continues over Maggie Beer’s famed farm and the legendary Penfolds Winery before tracking along the eastern edge of Nuriootpa and circling the Wolf Blass winery. Moments later, the landscape opens to reveal the striking limestone quarry near Angaston, a dramatic contrast that highlights the Barossa’s remarkable diversity.

A little further on, enjoy a rare aerial view of one of South Australia’s most prestigious horse racing studs, a breathtaking sight that perfectly complements the region’s sweeping vineyards and manicured countryside.

From Angaston, take in an incredible 180-degree panorama across the Barossa Valley and beyond, a view that quite literally stretches for miles. As you descend toward Tanunda, your pilot will point out historic landmarks including Chateau Tanunda and the original settlement of Bethany, offering a glimpse into the valley’s rich past.

Beyond Tanunda lies Rowland Flat, home to the world-famous Jacob’s Creek winery. Here, you’ll gain a unique perspective over some of Australia’s largest wine tanks, holding up to 1.4 million litres each — an impressive reminder of the scale and excellence behind South Australia’s wine industry.

The flight concludes with a scenic sweep past Lyndoch, over the historic Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (Barossa Reservoir), before returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley. This is more than a helicopter flight, it’s an immersive journey through the Barossa’s landscapes, legends and luxury, leaving you with unforgettable views and memories to match.

    Our business is on a working farm with vineyards, livestock and our own pets and due to biosecurity protocols we don't allow outside pets.

    ONLY Service dogs are allowed but they CANNOT fly.

    WEATHER POLICY

    Barossa Helicopters reserves the right to change flights due to weather conditions or other operational considerations. The pilots decision is final regardless of the occasion

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    No Shows and Bookings that cancel within 24 hours of booked time, will forfeit the cost of the entire booking.

    No charge for cancellation outside of 24 hours

    Full refund will be made available to customers in the event of a cancellation of the flight by Barossa Helicopters Pty Ltd due to adverse weather or any other unforeseen event.
