This exciting expedition departs Cairns, taking you on a relaxing 45 minute journey from the mainland to Green Island, a coral cay on the reef.
Upon arrival you'll have the day to explore this stunning island, including the tropical rainforest and surrounding reef. If you're feeling adventurous, take your pick from a number of walking trails and boardwalks throughout the island and get up close to the natural environment this island is known for.
You'll also have the option to add on water based extras. Explore the majestic underwater world by self guided snorkel, or see the reef from up above on board a glass bottom boat. You will save if pre purchased at checkout, or purchase on the day of travel subject to availability.

Best trip, great value and green island is amazing

The booking experience was easy and boarding was well organized. The boat trip was very comfortable and all options were explained by the crew . The island had service areas which were handy if required. Swimming and snorkeling beaches were very sheltered . Glassbottomed boats provided a great experience with lots of ecological information. Very enjoyable experience.

Green Island
Well, I would suggest consulting the tide table before choosing a date. While we were there, the tide was way out and the only place deep enough to snorkel was a small spot by the ferry. Even then the water was at most 3 feet deep. There are things to see, but not in these conditions. The Island has the usual amenities and a croc exhibit

Beautiful visit to Green Island
Really enjoyed our experience, we had a marine biologist on board sharing vital information. The staff were very friendly, at the end of the tour they finished off the day feeding the giant trevally. We saw turtles, black tip reef shark and loads of fish! Highly recommend it and the price was affordable.

Relaxing day
Boat ride was comfortable and the staff were really good. We rented some beach loungers and took our own lunch. Glad we did the cafe area didn’t look very nice. There is a bit of a bad smell along the walkway to the beach but it is only bird poo and you can’t smell it on the beach. The snorkelling is very safe a bit cloudy in places. I have seen better but was still good. The beach was sandy and didn’t need reef shoes. I didn’t walk all the way round the island as I was too busy relaxing on the beach but what I did walk round was very pretty and quiet. All in all a lovely day
