Highlights

  • Scenic experience on the scenic coastal drive
  • The chance for a fresh-water swim
  • Guided rainforest boardwalk
  • Crocodile spotting on the Wildlife Cruise

Join us for a day trip to Cape Tribulation Region & Daintree Rainforest, where the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforests meets the world’s greatest living tropical reef, the Great Barrier Reef. This is the only place on the planet where two natural World Heritage listed sites exist side by side. Such is the natural beauty and precious value of this, We give you ample time to explore this truly stunning piece of paradise on this full day tour

We begin the adventure with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Mossman. This is the far north’s very own version of the Great Ocean Road, providing panoramic views over the sparkling Coral Sea!

Heading north our first stop is at Mossman Gorge, which is in the southern sector of the world famous Daintree National Park. This gorge has been carved out by the cold mountain waters of Mossman River. It's a magical place and you'll participate in a "Welcome to Country" with the traditional owners.

Next, it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on an interesting, guided tour of the Mossman Gorge. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation, which will inform and impress. Be amazed at the huge diversity you will encounter, everything from low lying ferns and shrubs to the massive rainforest canopy.

There is an opportunity for you to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cascading waters.

Next you will join a Wildlife Cruise on the Daintree River where you might see a crocodile, while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this impressive serpent-like river system.

You are now on the north side on the Daintree River where our guide will meet you for you next stop.

We head to north – where the rainforest meets the reef and a guided rainforest walk.

Next we head to lunch.

Pending time we will stop at – the Daintree Ice Cream Co – where you can enjoy deliciously exotic fruit ice cream made on site, in small artisan style batches. Yum! [At own cost.]

Then it’s back on to the bus for the return journey to your accommodation.

Larga Experiencia en la Selva

Experiencia buena y larga con diferentes tramos de Selva. El guía excelente y muy hablador. Lo único malo es que la experiencia de los Cocodrilos duró muy poco….

Amazing rainforest experience!

This was a well thought out "sampler" of the region. If you are on holidays without transport, I highly recommend this experience to give you a taste of what this area has to offer. We loved the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, the rainforest was breathtaking. A highlight was the Daintree Cruise where we spotted 5 saltwater crocodiles. The stop at the Daintree Icecream Company was well worth it. We would have liked more time at Thornton Beach, but as this tour includes so much there just wasn't time. Our guide Clifton was fabulous, and made us feel very welcome and you could tell how knowledgeable and passionate he was about the area.

Review

It was a fabulous trip, very comfortable and covered all the main highlights. The Daintree river boat and guided tour was amazing. We even saw wild crocodiles. Michael our tour guide was excellent, he was friendly and very knowledgeable. We personally enjoyed his commentary with lots of insight. The lunch could be better as it was cold by the time we got it. I love Mexican bowl but this wasn’t the best meal provided from the restaurant

Don't book while cape tribulation isn't available

Not worth the price for what you get. Didn't fill whole day with activity, it seemed we were heading to things to do most of the day but then when we got there there wasn't much to do. Not sure if it's better when cape tribulation is available, but definitely not worth it while it's not. No guided rainforest walk, mostly the tour relays on you wanting to swim the whole time.

Great tour

Excellent tour. Michael had great energy and was very knowledgeable, and kept to the schedule without feeling pressured! Really enjoyed the swim in the gorge and the boat down the Daintree River. Great day, would highly recommend
