Great tour, entertaining and informative.
Couldn't recommend this highly enough. Stunning views! Things that might be helpful to know: Three adults attended including one older adult with some mobility challenges. Staff were helpful and accommodating for example when we needed a little extra time to walk to the boat. We had our trip on a warm winter day but were glad to have jackets as we returned across the lake at sunset. We opted for self drive and would do that again. The coaches that bright the other passengers looked modern and comfortable. If you self drive make sure you download the GPS route before leaving Noosa as there is poor cellular coverage for some of the route. Our gps directions were incorrect on both Google maps and Waze so double check!! The access road to the campsite is not sealed and quite pot holed. There are no toilets on the boat. The boat has a roof and plastic sheeting on the sides. If you struck poor weather you might want warm and waterproof layers. At the campsite where you check in there are fantastic facilities. There's a very family friendly brewery pub restaurant with espresso coffee. If you self drive you can stick around long enough to have a drink or a meal on the lawn while you listen to the birdlife and watch kangaroos grazing. There's a gorgeous swimming beach at the campsite. We were told the shallow lake water is stained brown from the teatree and has some healing properties. There were a few young children on our tour and it seemed quite suitable for families. The scenery is absolutely epic. Do it! And so much serenity!
Great concept but a lot of risk on the day as to what you see. I had read the reviews and got that impression so was prepared. Didn't see a lot on our trip and not sure if our skipper and crew mate were that engaged to make sure we could see things as they appeared, rather relying on the visitors to spot things. They could have pointed out static features that they knew would be there such as termite nests. Or have one of the crew on alert to point out wildlife as they apprared rather than serving drinks, which was not that necessary to have. Summary - room for improvement. Get Outlook for Android
This tour had been recommended to me by my daughter who had found the tour very informative and picturesque. Unfortunately for us our tour guide, who happened to be the original owner of the tour company appeared to be very bored with taking the tour and far more interested in social chatting with the deck hand. He failed to explain what the Everglades were and how rare they were, if it wasn’t for quests asking questions ,we would hardly have learnt anything. His demeanour, attitude and indifference absolutely spoilt our cruise. I felt embarrassed for overseas travellers on the cruise , hoping that they didn’t think this was a good representation of what Australia and our tour operators can offer.

Lovely tranquil experience
The bus arrived promptly to take us to the boat. Everything was well organised. The scenery was beautiful, the skipper gave a good and amusing commentary and was happy to take any questions. We saw a koala, and many birds and at the base camp kangaroos. The mirror effects of the Everglades are gorgeous. All in all a great day out.
