Temporary Itinerary Change:

While the Daintree Ferry is undergoing repairs following a recent severe weather event, we are pleased to offer an alternate full-day touring experience showcasing some of the very best of the Daintree.

Departing from Cairns, the day begins with a visit to Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas, where you’ll enjoy around 1.5 hours to explore the sanctuary at your own pace. Wander through immersive wildlife environments, encounter iconic Australian animals, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this award-winning park. Guests also have the option to hand-feed kangaroos or purchase a souvenir photo with a koala.

We then continue north for a relaxing 1-hour Daintree River cruise with Daintree River Cruise Centre, offering the chance to take in the beauty of this remarkable river system while keeping watch for crocodiles, birdlife, and other native wildlife.

After the cruise, enjoy lunch at the scenic Daintree Beach Resort at Wonga Beach. With direct beach access, guests can take in beautiful coastal views stretching toward the Daintree River mouth and Snapper Island, making this a memorable stop to relax and soak up the surroundings.

The afternoon finishes with approximately 2 hours at Mossman Gorge Daintree National Park, where you’ll enjoy a guided walk through this spectacular rainforest setting, followed by time to swim in the cool, clear waters of the gorge.

Your day in the Daintree:

• Pick up from accommodation as per usual - please reconfirm time with Reservations prior to tour.
• 9:00am-10:30am | Wildlife Habitat - Semi-guided walk, and optional koala photo (not included). Kangaroo food available onsite for $3 (not included).
• 11:00am-12:00pm | 1 Hour Daintree River Cruise - as per usual itinerary - crocodile spotting + light morning tea
• 12:30pm-1:30pm | Lunch at Daintree Beach Resort (Wonga Beach). Lunch included (drinks at additional cost) + direct beach access for a free-time stroll.
• 2:00pm-4:00pm | Mossman Gorge National Park - Guided rainforest walk, relax and swim (if safe).
• Return back to accommodation

Usual Daintree Itinerary:Enjoy a full-day adventure to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, travelling to the rainforest in comfort in a custom-built 4WD air-conditioned vehicle, listening to the informative commentary by your local naturalist guide. Sit back and relax on a Daintree River Cruise spotting crocodiles in the wild and take a guided boardwalk tour through the Rainforest, learning about the flora, fauna and history of the rainforest. Continue your tour with a 4WD ride through the World Heritage-listed rainforest and enjoy lunch at a local Daintree Rainforest cafe, before visiting Cape Tribulation Beach to enjoy a homegrown ice cream before the journey home.

Cairns City (CBD) accommodation: pick up between 7 - 7.15am, returns 6.30pm

Northern Beaches accommodation: pick up between 7.20 - 7.45am, returns 6pm

Port Douglas accommodation: pick up 8.20am, returns between 4 - 4.30pm

Down Under Cruise and Dive - Great Barrier Reef Tour onboard the Evolution

Travel onboard the luxurious and spacious super-yacht, Evolution, to the Outer Great Barrier Reef for an amazing snorkelling experience. Explore two spectacular and exclusive Outer Great Barrier Reef locations, before spending the afternoon as you choose. Enjoy a semi-submersible tour learning about the reef with a marine biologist, or add a scenic helicopter flight over the reef to your day. Cruise back to Cairns, enjoying a free glass or wine and a snack as you take in the stunning views!

Make your own way to the Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns for check-in from 7.15am - 7.45am on the desired travel date.
