Barra Park

Unfortunately your advertisement announced opening day April 1st booking was made and paid for. Received a call from the park a couple of hrs before stating the Barra park is not open. So unfortunately my children and I were extremely unimpressed!! So a wasted day and also out of pocket. You should not be taking bookings and payments from customers for a park that’s not open.

Hi Belinda, thank you for your lovely feedback. Due to the recent flooding we had some damage to the Barra Park and also lost some stock, and weren’t able to fix in time. You made your booking at 10:30am, we noticed it came through and called you immediately by 12 pm once we noticed. The bookings were not supposed to be open, though we are only human and mistakes do happen. Sorry this ruined your whole day. You are receiving a full refund too, so you will not be out of pocket. Have a great holiday :)

From Cairns Barra Park - Catch and Release Fishing

Thanks for your feedback, unfortunately - that's fishing. 99% of the time the Barra can be caught, you can see them there and also get to feed them though like fishing in the wild there are many reasons why they don't bite on occasions, weather - too cold, too hot, too windy etc.. Just hoping it was a good experience otherwise, i.e helpful and friendly staff etc.
