Cairns Canyoning - Half Day Canyoning Experience
Located in the lush green World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest, you’ll be treated to abseils, rock jumps, rockslides & more at either Crystals or Behana.

It’s a tour where you can overcome those fears, experience true adventure in a fun, exciting and safe way. You'll be taking a refreshing swim in the warm FNQ waters, within the World Heritage Rainforest and if you're lucky you may see some of the endemic wildlife of the Tropics.
Behana Canyon (usually 12 noon – daily)
Surrounded by lush green rainforest & granite formations Behana is a wide open space with it’s main feature being a series of waterfalls coming together into a bowl… Your qualified tour guide will take you through on an adventure, the best thing about Behana Canyon experience is that everything on this course is optional & each of our guests can make the choices of what they’d like to do without it affecting the other people in their groups – this makes it ideal for families or those a little nervous or first time canyoners whilst still catering to those more intermediate/advanced levels.
Crystal Canyon (usually 6:30am – daily)
One of the most popular Waterfalls in the Cairns Region is the beautiful Crystal Cascades, surrounded by tropical rainforest, with a 2km track passing through of many water pools. Cairns Canyoning offers a whole other level of experience to explore these waterfalls through our water courses… Enjoy a 30 metre zipline into the refreshing pool, an abseil down & through one of the waterfalls itself, jumps, slides, abseils, a chance to appreciate nature in a different style of adventure.
Duration:Standard experience takes around 5hrs. Please allow up to 5.5hrs for the whole experience from start to finish, every day is a little different, depends on weather, road conditions & fun!

Wonderful experience with great guides
The tour to Behana Canyon was incredible and we certainly got some adrenaline going. I felt under competent supervision throughout the experience and pushed myself to the limits. Great guides who were responsible for an amazing day in the canyon and a great group made it a fun adventure. I can highly recommend this tour :)

Cairns Canyoning- crystal cascades
Wow, What an experience! Dom and Jayden were absolute legends and the best guides I could have hoped for. Thanks for taking me out to crystal cascades, and showing me this beautiful part of the world- it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Thanks putting up with this uncoordinated human, and treating me like a VIP. I’ve never felt so safe abseiling and jumping off cliffs/waterfalls. If you’re up for a fun, adrenaline fuelled adventure, with good banter and top notch guides, you can’t go past cairns canyoning 🤙

EXTREMELY FUN
Really fun experience and something completely different to the normal holiday activities. Perfect for anyone who loves a bit of adventure and has a swimming ability, great for families and adults of all ages; anyone who goes will have a blast!

Highlight of our trip
It was an awesome experience for all of us. Must do in Cairns. Having our 9 years old jumping off the 3m high cliff into the waterfall for the first time was such a confidence boost for life. Thanks for all the fun Marcio and Brendan, you guys rocked.
