Starting with a glass of bubbles on arrival, your journey will take you deep into the heart of Trinity Inlet and across the spectacular waterfront precinct of Cairns.
You’ll enjoy a delicious 3 course hot and cold buffet dinner showcasing some of the region’s best produce and seafood, featuring oysters, local prawns and a dessert course to follow, as well as fantastic local entertainment on some nights.
The Spirit of Cairns sailing catamaran is fully licensed, selling a range of beverages, including delicious tropical cocktails.

A Cruise for Atmosphere
Starting with the positives, the main highlights of dining on a cruise are definitely the sunset and night views, along with the lovely atmosphere onboard—these are top-notch! However, the food was a bit underwhelming given the price. I felt the selection, especially the seafood, could have been more extensive. The absence of sashimi and lobster was disappointing, and the oysters weren't particularly fresh. They ran out quickly, so I only managed to get a few, and the ones I tried weren’t as fresh as expected. The shrimp, on the other hand, was very tasty, though most other dishes were average with nothing that really stood out. The smoked salmon was good but also disappeared quickly, and some of the desserts were decent. Overall, the dinner wasn't cheap, which perhaps raised my expectations a bit too high, leaving me somewhat disappointed with the food. I’d recommend not focusing on the food if you’re planning to try this dinner cruise. Instead, focus on the scenery and the company—it’s really about the experience and atmosphere rather than the food.

Perfect evening
Thoroughly enjoyed the sunset buffet cruise, awesome variety of great tasting food to suit all tastes, very pleasant helpful crew that helped make it a great evening. Fantastic views of the lights of Cairns and the marina. Would highly recommend this.

Lovely evenings experience
Welcomed aboard by the Captain, choice of different drinks on arrival, lovely staff making sure we were comfortable. Beautiful views of Cairns from the sea. Great musician on board, really good food choices from the buffet with lots of local prawns. Delicious cocktails available. Really nice evening.

Spirit of Cairns Sunset Cruise
Cruised on 17/03/26. Boat amenities were excellent with spacious table settings inside for dinner and tables and chairs set up on the deck to view the lights of Cairns/Sunset. Crew provided very polite and efficient services for drinks and Buffet style food which were excellent throughout the evening. Exceptional entertainment was provided by The Sax Man Troy Stevens which made the evening extra special. Will definitely go again on a future trip to Cairns with a sneaky peak to see if The Sax Man is providing the entertainment on board. Thank to you all for a wonderful evening.

Ein rundum gelungener Abend, mit super gutem und mehr als ausreichendem Essen, toller Athmosphäre und erstklassiger musikalischer Begleitung! Der Begrüßungsdrink (Bier, Wein, Soft Drinks) ist inbegriffen, alle weiteren Getränke, außer Leitungswasser - das zur Abwechslung mal nicht nach Chlor schmeckt - sind zu völlig humanen Preisen an Board zu kaufen. Absolut empfehlenswert!
