With a small group of up to 27 guests, you'll enjoy a personalised, crowd-free experience. Your day starts at Finger B at Cairns Marlin Marina, where you'll board one of our fast vessels for an exhilarating ride to the Upolu Reef or Breaking Patches. Spend 1.5 hours exploring the reef with an expert snorkel guide before returning to Cairns. Snacks are included, and drinks are available for purchase on board.

Great trip
Had such a great half day trip to Great Barrier Reef with reef adventures! The team was fun and friendly and super competent. They were accomodating and provided some great info. Was a bonus to see the humpback whales! Also loved the other tips about restaurants and places to visit. Thanks to Bradley, Nadine, Mia and Brandon. Also great photos supplied afterwards!

Fast Fun!
For those wanting to cram all the adventure in, half day snorkel is the go! In and out by 12pm, fish, turtle, ray and coral without heading to outer reef. The female led crew (yeah the girls!) were experienced, knowledgeable and super friendly. Tunes pumping to soundtrack the high energy vibes! Affordable and enjoyable, thanks guys!

Good trip
Staff made the trip, very friendly and welcoming. Trip was good but felt that the snorkelling was confined to a very small area, not helped probably as sea was marginal for snorkelling that day, not the best weather. I saw the most fish and bigger variety by sticking to the drop off area of the reef. Was unsure about booking as website recommended as not suitable for over 65’s- we were 71 and 76, but found it totally do-able (experienced snorkellers and boaties, which helps). A bit disappointed as we were told photos would be on their website but checked several times and found every other trip but ours and on emailing them got quite a curt reply just stating the photos were there - still can’t see them and feel that whoever replied to email not helping their p.r.

Excellent
We went out with Reef Adventures for a snorkelling trip at the Great Barrier Reef with our two kids, 8 and 12, and it turned out to be a really special experience for us. Neither of them had ever snorkelled before, so we were a bit unsure how it would go, especially with our younger one who was quite nervous at the start. But the crew were amazing. A big thank you to Lillian, Caitlin and Victor for being so patient and supportive throughout. Caitlin was especially wonderful with our son. She took the time to calm him down, explain everything clearly and help him feel comfortable in the water. In the beginning he didn’t even want to put his face in, and by the end he didn’t want to get out. Seeing that change meant a lot to us. Reef Adventures is a smaller operator, but that really works in their favour. It felt more personal and you could see they genuinely care about what they do and about their guests. Thank you again for making our first snorkelling trip at the reef such a great memory. We would definitely recommend them, especially for families with kids.

Amazing experience!
Amazing crew with good vibes and enough time to explore underwater. We didn’t get sick on the boat ride and saw turtles, rays, sharks and a lot of other fish and corals. Would 100% recommend!
