With tours operating year-round, you can experience the magic of this stunning location no matter when you visit. You'll spend three to four hours on the Outer Reef, giving you plenty of time to explore vibrant coral gardens, swim alongside tropical marine life, and take in the dazzling underwater world.
We'll make it easy for you to dive right in with complimentary snorkel gear and stinger suits (provided from October to May). For those who want extra support, optional snorkel assistance is also available.
Your day begins with a warm welcome as you enjoy a delicious morning tea on the way to the reef. Our expert guides will provide engaging commentary and snorkeling instructions, ensuring you feel confident and ready to explore. And if you prefer to stay dry, non-swimmer activities are available, offering a unique way to experience the reef without getting in the water.
After your morning of discovery, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch featuring locally sourced tropical fruits, served onboard as you take in the stunning ocean views. From there, we journey to beautiful Dunk Island, where you can unwind on pristine beaches, take a refreshing swim, or embark on a leisurely island walk. This idyllic stop is the perfect way to end your day, combining relaxation with natural beauty.

Itinerary
- 6:30am - Dunk Island Reef Adventures' Coach departs Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Bus Stop #2
- 8:30am - Clump Point Marine Facility - Priority Boarding with light breakfast served of Muffins, Tropical Fruits and beverage of choice tea/coffee/juice.
- 9:00am - QuickCoast departs Clump Point Marina Facility
- 9:25am - QuickCoast arrives at Dunk Island for day visitors to disembark.
- 9:40am - QuickCoast departs from Dunk Island bound for Beaver Cay & Reef.
- 10:35am - Arrival at Beaver Reef for snorkelling from QuickCoast or take a ride ashore to the cay in our ships tender.
- 12:30pm - 2:00pm - 2 course BBQ lunch is served on board
- 2:40pm - QuickCoast departs Beaver Reef with a quick fish feeding before departure.
- 3:35pm - We arrive at Dunk Island for an hour for multiple choices, short beach walks and/or optional afternoon cocktails from the cafe.
- 4:30pm - QuickCoast departs Dunk Island
- 4:50pm - QuickCoast arrives at Clump Point Marine Facility with transfer back to Cairns
- 7.00pm - Coach arrives back at Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal

Great day out
Brian,Louie,Charlotte,thank you for a really great day,it started with coach down the coast with Brian,who is full of local knowledge,and made the trip interesting,we felt secure in the water while snorkeling on the reef,also being a small group,real value for money,trip of a lifetime and would recommend it.. safety of us all was paramount from brain and team..

Small group reef experience
The crew was friendly, professional, and made everyone feel welcome and at ease. They did an excellent job catering to all skill levels—whether you were a beginner snorkeler or an experienced diver.

I loved the team, the experience, the food and all the effort put into it. Prepare for a long day and rough journey to the reef but other than that it’s good. 👍

Pristine Reefs!
We had such a great time on this trip to Beaver Reef. We left from Cairns and were transported by our fantastic guide/skipper Bri who was super friendly and knowledgeable. We spent hours out on the water. A great day filled with a beautiful bus ride, boat ride, lunch, beers and snorkeling!! 10/10 couldn’t recommend this company any more. They are the only ones going to this reef location which is one of the best you can see!
