Awesome Day Out!
We recently did the one day reef tour and then on to Fitzroy Island for lunch and a snorkel. The seas were high, most people got seasick but the crew looked after everyone and we were warned many times prior to departure that Travacam was recommended (most around us didn't take it though). The pontoon is a great facility, the equipment fine and the time permitted to explore the underwater world was perfect. The Reef itself was in really good condition, surprising and awesome to see. So many colourful fish and other marine life (turtles, a small reef shark and we found Nemo!). Fitzroy Island was good, not as great as snorkelling on the reef but still worth it. The lunch was reasonably good. I'd recommend including a few more options for kids. The only other thing to change would be allowing some additional time prior to departure from each location for people to get a hot drink (we only just got on board and it closed instantly but we didn't depart for another 20mins- plenty of time to drink a hot drink with no waves or for it to cool). Overall, I thoroughly recommend doing this trip. Thanks for an amazing day out!
