Departing from Christchurch City Centre our convenient return service will take you on a day out to get a taste of Banks Peninsula.
Leaving the city skirting around the base of the port hills, travel through leafy outlying suburbs, prime farmland and lakes Ellesmere and Forsyth.
Stop at the Hill Top for the perfect selfie with the Akaroa Harbour as a stunning backdrop.
Arriving in Akaroa there is plenty of time for wandering around the quaint streets, enjoying the many shops, visit the Giants House or take a harbour cruise and spot some dolphins.
So join us and discover the very best of Akaroa with our fast and friendly shuttle service, that includes interesting commentary!
Duration: Travel time between Christchurch and Akaroa 1.5 - 2 hours
Trip Times: 8.30am depart Christchurch (departs from Rolleston Avenue outside Canterbury Museum) 3.45pm depart Akaroa (daily Oct – April)

Perfect
Everything was great! The driver was lovely, the bus was clean and on time. We had few touristy stops on the way with great explanations of the driver. It is possible to book the return for another day to spend a night in Akaroa.

A comfortable experience
I enjoyed this trip with Akaroa shuttle as the buses where really comfy and the drivers both ways very nice! After calling them I was able to change my dates and even the pickup location without a problem - this flexibility is amazing. Only one star less because I never got any confirmation from them via email about the changes or my ticket, so I was worried on both ways if they got me on their list, as I had nothing to proof I was booked in. But as it worked out well anyways - Thanks for the great service!

Excellent service, great day out
The shuttle was extremely efficient and the driver Daryl was superb- really friendly and informative. I couldn't have asked for more. He went out of his way to drop everyone off close by to their accommodation on the way back. Excellent- I loved Akaroa too and would definitely do this trip again, thankyou.
