Perfect Hot Pool Escape on a Rainy Summer Day!
Absolutely loved our visit to Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa! The lazy river pool was hands down the highlight — floating along in beautifully warm water while it was raining on a summer day was such a unique and relaxing experience. With the temperature around 10°C, the contrast between the cool rain and the hot pools was pure bliss. We also spent time in the cave pool, which was incredibly soothing and had a lovely, calm vibe. There were only 8 of us in total, so it felt uncrowded, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding. The facilities were fantastic — water fountains for free drinking water, complementary lockers, tidy hot showers, a swim costume dryer, and excellent reception staff who made everything smooth and welcoming. Honestly, it turned out to be the perfect day for a hot pool soak — rain, cool weather, great facilities, and a relaxed atmosphere. Can’t recommend Ōpuke enough and will definitely be back!

Great pools
This is our second time to Opuke and it didn't disappoint. Clean, not jam packed and beautiful warm weather. The 2.5m jump pool a big hint with the small person. Food at the cafe was yummy. Highly recommend.

Small but not crowded
We visited on a warm day in school holidays, expecting it to be busy and were presently surprised. The kids played in the lazy river area and a few adults used the top pool. There were sun shades, great views over the mountains, everything was immaculate and there were enough different pool designs to try over the 2 hours. It was better than we expected.

Fab Fun
on the way to CHCH decided to do a quick book me for the Pools and have a fab time with my friend acting like kids (57). place is amazing and at the book me price will be returning with the rest of the family shortly.
