I took 2 US family members to the pool one morning. We were all marvelously relaxed after this, enjoying a hot shower afterwards. A very special way to spend a morning.

Overcrowded
A stunning location a beautiful area well laid out well serviced but if you want peace and tranquility don’t go in the school holidays. It wasn’t enjoyable at all and we were really looking forward to it both in our late 60s and we just would’ve loved to lie and soak in the pool, but it was just Crazy. I think it’s a shame they don’t have maybe an hour in the evening or two hours in the evening where it’s adults only I also didn’t realise they had private pools so will definitely go again but not in holiday time.

Thank you for the review! We do have a large amount of visitors this time of year. For your next visit I would highly recommend our Aqua therapy pools as they are adults only and can avoid a lot of the chaos the school holidays bring!

The perfect day out for all ages
Hanmer springs is always a fantastic day for everyone. Young and old alike cant fail to find something to make them happy here. The kids enjoyed the kids play area, the teens enjoyed the slides and we enjoyed some time in the adults only pools 😀 plus the cafe has a great selection at reasonable prices.

A Perfect Relaxing Getaway!
Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa is an absolute gem! The pools are beautifully maintained, with the perfect mix of relaxing thermal pools, fun water slides, and family-friendly areas. The mountain views and fresh air make the whole experience incredibly calming. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the facilities were spotless — everything from the changing rooms to the cafes felt well cared for. I especially enjoyed the natural mineral pools; they’re so soothing after a long week. Whether you’re here for a peaceful soak, a fun day out with family, or a bit of pampering at the spa, Hanmer Springs never disappoints. I’ll definitely be coming back again! 🌿💧
