Recommend the Discovery package
While we enjoyed the tranquility pools package, I would recommend the Discovery pools package as better value for money. The difference between the two packages is only 2 additional pools, as well as the option to purchase and consume food and drinks while sitting in a pool, as opposed to the discovery package where you can purchase and consume food and drinks while sitting on the poolside deck at chairs and tables. The tranquility package costs double the price for these options. Additionally the time time limits are strict, so I would recommend purchasing the 4hr package unless you're after a quick soak.

Wonderful
We had an absolutely wonderful visit to Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa in Methven! From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxing and well thought out. The thermal pools are beautifully maintained, with stunning views of the Southern Alps that make the whole experience feel truly special. The adult-only Tranquility area with the swim-up bar was a highlight — sipping a drink in the warm pool with that backdrop was unforgettable. Towels, robes and lockers were provided, and staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We also enjoyed grabbing a bite pool-side — great food and service. Clean, peaceful and such a lovely way to unwind. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Nice
Nice enough pools. The cave pool was the highlight, and probably the pool bar. Delicious food. It's fantastic to have an adult-only area. Impressive bathrooms and good customer service. The massage prices aren't too bad either. Tried to rebook to another time slot on the same day, but they wanted the full price difference. Great day trip if you're already in the area but wouldn't necessarily make a detour for it.

Unreal!
We went on a weekday through BookMe to get it cheaper; but oh my days, the experience was so good I would paid full price to go again! Beautiful spaces (both pools and changing rooms), amazing kai at a relatively reasonable price-point, swim up bar was incredible, and the ambience of the Methven countryside was so lush :)
