Kids and adults had a lot of fun digging and finding thunder eggs! Before going I was wondering whether there would be any to find, but there are still plenty around! We would do it again!
My sons enjoyed Thunderegg Fossicking so much. It was really difficult to find big and good one, but they were really excited to find "Thunderegg". There are some small crystals in the field. I recommend to bring water with you.
Personally a total waste of time effort and money.
Hi Nobyrd, We are terribly saddened to hear that you didn't thoroughly enjoy yourself here at the Thunderegg Crystal Mine. Myself and our staff strive to ensure everyone enjoys themselves and leaves with some beautiful treasures in toe. We can only wish that you made us aware of your feelings at the time so we could have made sure this was also the case for you. If you would kindly like to contact us directly to notify us as to what exactly it was that made your experience so unenjoyable we'd really appreciate that, as we pride ourselves on all of our guests leaving happy and want to prevent this happening in the future. Regards, Sam Maccoll-Mine Manager.
We went had a good time digging through the dirt and mud for thunderbirds. The instructions were clear and we found a couple of great rocks which we got to keep for no extra cost! Make sure you bring a change of clothes as we got really dirty!

Great for kids
Exhausting work. Great to get kids to burn some energy. We like the ones we got cut but it was hard work and to charge for cutting seemed a bit excessive after paying a lot to climb a hill and dig dirt.
