Experience the thrill of whale season on the Gold Coast with Cooly Eco Adventures, where more than 40,000 humpback whales migrate along Australia’s east coast each year between May and November!

Following the continental shelf between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, these majestic creatures pass close to shore, creating exceptional opportunities to witness them in their natural environment. From departure to return, guests are treated to stunning coastal scenery and engaging, informative commentary from an experienced skipper and passionate crew.

With a whale sightings guarantee, every tour promises unforgettable moments, from powerful breaches to playful interactions between mothers and calves. The safari-style vessel offers eye-level viewing, delivering some of the closest and most intimate whale encounters in the region without disturbing the whales.

Every journey is unique, and the friendly crew ensure the experience feels personal, relaxed, and genuinely memorable, sharing their deep knowledge of humpback whales and their love for the Gold Coast throughout the adventure!

  • Minimum age: 6

  • 6 Years + minimum age

    Any children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

    Not suitable for pregnant woman or anyone with a back injury

Notes

  • Please Note:

    All crew trained in First Aid, CPR/Oxygen and Advanced resuscitation.

    Your qualified fully trained Skipper and crew has extensive experience in the local area and have expert knowledge of whales and whale behavior.

    In depth briefings before departing, ensure you understand the procedures in place and time will be given to any questions and concerns you may have before getting on the boat.

    Oxygen, Defibrillator and a comprehensive Australian Maritime Safety Authority first aid kit maintained onboard.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel or reschedule your tour, you must contact us by phone at least 48 hours before your tour start time. Late cancellations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

    We are unable to refund the booking or card fees you may incur if a full refund is granted.
