Join us to view the incredible Humpback whales while they are on their annual migration. Our catamaran, ‘Game Changer’ makes for a unique experience with these creatures. On occasion, they come right alongside the vessel to show off and pose for photos. There will be plenty of photo opportunities on our vessel, especially on the viewing deck where you can see a clear view of the whales breaching. You will have memories for a lifetime!
We also have a unique opportunity to participate in unique research activities. You will receive information about humpback whales and the options for getting involved. Alternatively, feel free to sit back and enjoy the experience.
With our small vessel we run tours for 2-3 hours depending on the conditions and whale sightings on the day. We can run up to 3 tours per day:
- 09:00am – Morning Tour(usuallythe calmest sea conditions and the least likelihood of weather cancellation)
- 12:00am – Midday Tour(the most popular choice for locals)
- 03:00pm – Sunset Tour(from July to August only. Amazing lighting for photographers)
Itinerary
- Meet us at the Aqua Adventure Centre Southport
- Safety brief, put on spray jackets
- Depart marina and cruise through the Broadwater.
- Enter the open ocean to find and watch the whales.
- Commence return cruise to the Marina whilst watching whales.
- Arrive back at our Southport Jetty.

Absolutely amazing!
It is our second time joining Adam and Monica on the whale watching adventure! We like the fact that the boat is small so that we can get quite close to the whales. If you suffer motion sickness probably go for bigger boats as can get a bit bumpy when windy. You can also try to swim with the whales on top of the normal whale watching experience. We had a fantastic time and saw plenty of whales which did breach and tale flips.

Fabulous experience
Lovely personalised experience of whale watching in a small group led by Alba and Adam. Alba shared a lot of info about whale behaviour and we got a good look at loads of whales. Thanks heaps Alba and Adam for making it a great experience.

Special Time on the water
We were only 3 people, but the crew still decided to take us out on an adventure! We saw whales quickly and kept moving to look for more. We learned a lot of the whales, we could ask questions and felt really well taken care of. We had a beautiful day out!

Fantastic experience!
Had the most incredible time! We were out on the boat for 2.5ish hours and saw so many whales! We saw a whale breach as well and got close to them. We were given splash proof jackets and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Incredible experience. Would recommend taking motion sickness medication beforehand, particularly on choppy days!

Outstanding experience
From start to finish, the best experience. Great guides, plenty of efforts to locate and respect the whales. Knowledgeable info shared. Words can’t describe how majestic these creatures are, or how special the experience. Breathtakingly special.
