Thanks Tom, Really glad to hear you enjoyed your tour with us. There are quite a few benefits of a Private tour - you can choose your own itinerary and the guide can customise the tour based on your interests. You also get picked up from the doorstep of any CBD hotel (or home depending on your location) in a private car and don't have to waste time riding to other hotels to pick up other travellers or wait for them to board the vehicle in-between sightseeing stops etc. And there is nothing like having your very own personal guide and driver! We realise a private tour is not the cheapest option out there (even with the generous discount applied), but the feedback we get, is that the overwhelming majority are glad to have choosen to do a Private tour Vrs Group tour in the end. We are not just for the rich and famous, but also for travellers who want to get the most out of an area, whilst having that little extra touch of luxury (which everyone deserves once in a while.) Warmest regards, Great Ocean Road AutoTours
Thanks Cai, Great to hear you enjoyed our tour. Wildlife spotting is one of the fun aspects of the tour. You just never know what you are going to come across each day. All the best to you and your family, We look forward to taking the rest of your family on a tour when the borders re-open. Warmest regards, Great Ocean Road AutoTours
We booked this tour on a bit of a whim. So happy with our experience. Easy pick up directly from our hotel. Car was clean and comfy. It is an early pick up (7am) so we forgot to ask about breakfast, but our guide James had some fresh fruit and snacks for us (for ‘emergency’ situations such as this)- absolute life saver. The morning tea stop was also great. Cute little cafe. My partner had scones and jam. I had a delish almond croissant- yum! Lunch wasn’t included, but we were recommended to grab and go from the little bakery in Apollo Bay. They do delish pies. I seem to just be talking about food here sorry lol. Aside from eating (!), the tour was awesome. Great scenery, nice varied little walks, wild animal sightseeing. A really nice mix of everything. Easy five stars. Oh, and we took a 15 min helicopter ride over the 12 Apostles. It cost extra but was totally worth doing.
Thanks for your feedback Erika , The morning tea is pretty delish. The hard bit is deciding on what to choose. Nothing like food envy. We are glad to hear, food aside, you enjoyed our tour. And yes, the chopper ride over the 12 Apostles is pretty spectacular. This is just a side option offered by a Helicopter company who are based at the 12 Apostles. (For anyone thinking of doing this, it can be included on the day of the tour. They charge $145 for a 15 minute flight or $235 for a 25 minute flight. Prices are per person.) Safe travels in 2021, Great Ocean Road AutoTours

Great tour!
We had a great tour with James. So much to see in one day. I’ve never done a private your before but would certainly think about doing one again in the future after this experience.
