Phillip Island day trip

An awesome day trip from Melbourne with stops along the way as we headed to the coast (ie.. moonlit sanctuary). Great tour guide. We took our 2 children aged 6 and 10. They loved it. Are still talking about the trip a few weeks after. They loved seeing the little blue penguins and hearing their chick's call for them. Created some wonderful memories and bonus was I didn't have to drive. Other passengers on this tour were friendly and respectful too. Would highly recommend.

Good but could have been better

We definitely enjoyed our tour and our guide was knowledgeable and committed to making our tour a good one. What was disappointing was the communication. I received 4 text messages from the tour company. Two of them got the pick up time wrong. They kept changing the pick up place. We got put on a different bus instead of what we should have been on. Due to this, me and my wife didn’t have seats to sit together. At least I got a decent seat at the front but my wife had to sit on the not so comfortable single seat at the back. That wasn’t a good experience. But in general it was worth what we paid for it.

Bus kind of small

Wish there was a bit more space on the shuttle and not very social of a vibe

Penguin parade

My openion is impacted by the weather conditions during the trip. As a whole I think the penguin parade is overrated, on the other hand the guide Derek was great man, knows his stuff and provide valuable information both historically and for the concerning the trip. The visit to the sanctuary saved my day, feeding the kangaroos and the other animals. As a whole the trip was organized the bus was not really comfy for a big guy like me. The wind and rain we have faced especially at the beach did kill the fun. Please check the weather forecast before ur booking.
