Jackson Orchards is family owned and operated and renowned for its flavorsome stone fruits and rich mineral soils. On this exciting 45 minute tour you'll have the opportunity to go behind the scenes as we travel on Jackson Orchards yellow electric bus and get a fun and informative insight into this working orchard.
Learn about the process of growing fruit, the importance of bees, the rich mineral soils of this former gold-mining area, the reasons why Jackson Orchards grow on "V"shape trellis and much, much more!
During summer you'll get to sample picking the fruit and of course eating the delicious sun-ripened morsels! Once finished you'll have the chance to shop the fruit stall or grab a “famous” real fruit ice cream.
A feast for all the senses and the only South Island orchard tour of this caliber, this is the perfect summer activity for the whole family!

WINTER HIGHLIGHTS
Winter might be our “off season” but it’s still beautiful! Winter tours are completed with a box of fruit from our fruit stall.

Bring your warm clothes and a camera along for a winter tour.
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS
Aromatic and breathtaking florals, bees & beehives, amazing photographic opportunities.

We were lucky enough to get a private tour, learn about the history of the orchard (which was a surprise) and enjoy the fruits of our tour. It was quite a juggle to get our box of fruit in our carry on luggage - but with a little determination we were able enjoy all manners of fruit at home for the next week.

Loved it!
What a perfect part of our trip. Probably wouldn’t have thought of this (esp at the original price) but the BookMe price was fantastic. Our guide was so lovely as were the fellow tourers. Have already told many people about this deal. We loved it!

Orchard tour
We had a fantastic tour and guide was lovely, and the orchard was spectacular. The only thing it would’ve been good to know what variety of fruit we were packing. Fruit was delicious.

Unexpected Excitement
We were looking for fun and educational activities and stumbled upon this deal. We absolutely enjoyed the tour and getting to pick our own fruits. Our guide, Sully, was especially kind and entertaining. He even brought some nuts and dried fruits for us to eat during the tour. We even did a little walnut picking with their tools. It was such a hit for the whole family and we came home with a ton of fruits. It was so worth it.
