Take a spectacular journey into Piopiotahi Milford Sound by luxury coach before exploring the ‘eighth wonder of the world’ by cruise.
Prepare to soak up the beauty and grandeur of what has been called the "eighth wonder of the world" with RealNZ.
Departing from either Queenstown on-board a luxury coach, sit back, relax and take in the stunning location on one of the most scenic drives in New Zealand along Milford Road, while enjoying on-board commentary and various photo stops along the way.
Upon reaching Milford, you'll take a relaxing cruise on board the spacious vessel which boasts fantastic outdoor decks and indoor lounges specifically designed to optimise your viewing experience.
To ensure you experience the very best of Milford Sound on the day, your knowledgeable skipper has planned each trip based on the weather and recent wildlife sightings. As we cruise the full length of the Fiord you'll witness the majestic beauty of Milford first hand while we cruise right up close to grand waterfalls and sheer rock faces, and discover local wildlife such as dolphins, seals and, in season, the rare Fiordland crested penguins.
Enjoy the relaxing scenic journey back on the coach to your accommodation.
Snacks and drinks are available to purchase during your cruise or you are welcome to bring a picnic along to enjoy.
We had the perfect day to start of with, our bus driver/tour guide was the best. Thank you Makayla, she's funny knowledgeable and just made everything interested. We will do it again. Queenstown you beauty!!!
I thought it was a wonderful experience. The driver was great in giving the history of Milford Sound and other interesting tidbits along the way there. It made the drive there more interesting. There were also several stops along the way to take photos and have a break from the drive. Overall I thought it was a great experience.
First of all I would like to give compliment on the bus driver and the service for being good on time, nice drive & good explanation along the way. I'm understanding that the stops along the way are changable and depends on the day, but coming all the way long here, get on the tour and we didn't get to stop on any of the Mirror Lake, the Chasm and the Milford Sound Reverse waterfall on the cruise was really a big miss that I would never expected the tour gonna be like that. All we got was to stop at Knobs Flat toilet - "The Loo with the Viow (view)", and another couple of quick photos spots. The cruise was packed with people on a Wednesday. Things change a lot compared to 5 years ago and I regretted booking the tour to bring my family who never been here before to visit Milford Sound for their 1st time and it's not as what I'm expected.
Most enjoyable day out - great weather but a long day.
