A Rotorua Must Do - Daytime for Nature!

A Rotorua Must Do - Daytime for Nature!

Highlights

  • A stunning walk high amongst the majestic redwood trees – a Rotorua must do!
  • Featuring 700 metres of suspended bridges & living platforms within the 120 year old Redwood forest.

Walk high amongst the majestic redwoods trees. Feel the spirit of Rotorua’s iconic Redwood Forest from above and up close to these 120-year-old gentle giants.

This suspended ecological walk provides a unique bird’s eye perspective of the forest, capturing its picturesque beauty and ambience. From 700 metres long, the one of a kind New Zealand treewalk consists of a series of 27 suspension bridges which traverse between 28 majestic 120-year-old Redwood Trees. From 9 metres to 20 metres above the forest at its peak, the walkway has been specifically designed and constructed to preserve the trees, plants and the surrounding natural environment.

The walkway has been uniquely constructed using a New Zealand-first technologically designed sling, which is suspended from the redwood trees. This ecological walk is perfect as a wet weather activity with the stunning colours of the forest coming to life in the rain.

Enjoy at your own pace with no safety harness or training required and appreciate the peacefulness and spirit of this special forest. Leave feeling inspired, refreshed and rejuvenated!..

Absolutely amazing 👌👌

I was absolutely blown away . We did the nightlights walk and then got offered a free day time walk for the next day and both walks were breathtaking. Would definitely do this again 👌

Brilliant time!

My parents in-law were visiting from South Africa and absolutely loved the Redwood forrest and the tree walk, they said it was one of the best things they did in NZ! :)

Treetop fun

Was so much better than we expected. The swing bridges were great and we loved the info boards at each platform. The trail was longer than we thought too which was a real bonus and going up higher was cool. So enjoyable. 🙂

Dont really know what to say

Very disappointing. We booked for a 9.30pm tree top walk. We got there at 8.30 pm, stood in line to 10.20pm and still quite some distance from the front of the line so didn't do the walk. During that time we saw many people enter the line and not go to the back. We are aware that the "booking time" is only an indication but surely if that time is not going to be honoured why have a time on your site for booking; we feel it is very misleading. Everything else we have booked for the next 2 weeks we are in Rotorua is booked to a time, and so far all have stuck to that booking time apart from this. Really don't know if we want to come back and would be very wary recommending this to our friends if this is going to happen again.
