Our full-day guided kayak tour will bring you on an adventure along the stunning coastline in the Tonga Island Marine Reserve in Abel Tasman.

This unspoiled area is home to playful New Zealand fur seals and an abundance of marine and birdlife. You will enjoy views of granite coastline, tranquil lagoons and pristine beaches. Every one of our trips is unique and customised to suit the tides and conditions - we will either kayak from Awaroa to Bark Bay or explore the area from Onetahuti to Anchorage.

Both tours will include stops along the way for amazing photo opportunities and a lunch break on one of the many golden beaches. Our friendly guides are experienced and will be there to ensure you will enjoy your day to the fullest.

Itinerary

  • 8.15am: Check in and meet your guide
  • 8.30am: Water Taxi to Awaroa/Onetahuti
  • 10:00am: Kayak from Tonga Island Marine Reserve. Total kayak time approx 4 hrs with breaks
  • 1.15pm: Enjoy lunch on the beach
  • 3.30pm: Arrive Bark Bay/Anchorage
  • 3.45pm: Water Taxi to Marahau
  • 4.30pm Arrive back in Marahau
