The Mud Run makes it possible for you to conveniently tick off a visit to one of the iconic natural attractions - either Waimangu Volcanic Valley or Wai-o-TapuThermal Wonderland.
Departing from Rotorua daily, will give you time to explore at your own pace on a self guided walking tour as you start your journey into the fascinating world of Steam, Mud & Colours.
Waimangu Volcanic Valley:
Take a beautiful journey through the boasting wild and rugged volcanic landscape.
Here you'll explore amazing hot water springs, unique plant life, majestic craters and an array of microbiology and bird life. The dramatic landscape will have you in absolute awe as you immerse yourself in the heart of the world’s youngest volcanic valley.

You will be greeted by New Zealand's most colourful geothermal attraction,You'll encounter one of the most extensive geothermal systems, unique terrace formations, steaming ground, bubbling mud pool and fascinating colours.

Great trip
Thank you Karen and Slim. Both very friendly and knowledgeable. Great stories and got us to everywhere we needed to be in good time. Handy to be picked up and dropped off from central Rotorua. Don't hesitate to book The Mud Run.

Highly recommended
The i-SITE information center is very convenient to get on the car, with ample time for sightseeing, Waiotapu all the routes have been explored. Much cheaper than booking with ISITE. The drivers are very good nice and polite, they also introduced us to Rotorua, I had a great time playing.

Mud run
It was a great experience! Karen and Slim were the best and made the tour with their knowledge even more interesting. Would definitely recommend it:)

Waiotapu and Waimangu
I did both trips with Karen. She is kind, humorous and knowledgeable guide. I enjoyed listening to her and interacting with her. Nature in both places was stunning.
