Staff were helpful and accommodating for example when we needed a little extra time to walk to the boat. We had our trip on a warm winter day but were glad to have jackets as we returned across the lake at sunset. We opted for self drive and would do that again. The coaches that bright the other passengers looked modern and comfortable. If you self drive make sure you download the GPS route before leaving Noosa as there is poor cellular coverage for some of the route. Our gps directions were incorrect on both Google maps and Waze so double check!! The access road to the campsite is not sealed and quite pot holed. There are no toilets on the boat. The boat has a roof and plastic sheeting on the sides. If you struck poor weather you might want warm and waterproof layers. At the campsite where you check in there are fantastic facilities. There's a very family friendly brewery pub restaurant with espresso coffee. If you self drive you can stick around long enough to have a drink or a meal on the lawn while you listen to the birdlife and watch kangaroos grazing. There's a gorgeous swimming beach at the campsite. We were told the shallow lake water is stained brown from the teatree and has some healing properties. There were a few young children on our tour and it seemed quite suitable for families. The scenery is absolutely epic. Do it! And so much serenity!
