Kia ora Pauline Thank you for your review. Our pools are filled naturally from the ground which means we cannot control the temperatures or mineral content which is where the benefits are. This means sometimes we have to close individual pools which would be at a very high temperature and we operate up to the 45" mark. Thank you for visiting our beautiful taonga. Nga mihi Moana

Wonderful
Ngawha springs has a healing touch. My itchy skin hot better, I enjoyed birds’s singing and calmness of the place, Recommend 7 o’clock time.

Geothermal pools.
We chose the evening for our session. Unexpectedly our time coincided with some fine misty rainfall - which nicely offset the heat in the pools we were soaking in. It probably allowed us to stay longer & test a few more of the various pools which are different temperatures. One thing we hadn’t prepared for was to sip on water to stay hydrated throughout the experience. BYO WATER !! All the regulars had theirs with big ice blocks to cool it even more. There is a bubbler onsite (but tastes funky).

Peaceful, Relaxing , Rejuvenating and Respectful
We loved our time at Ngawha Springs. The entrance, welcome centre and natural setting is beautiful and you immediately feel the connection to the Māori ancestors and the honouring of this sacred place. Be aware that showers are only for rinsing and soap/shampoo/conditioner products are not permitted. Highly recommend.

relaxing
Lovely pools to visit for the relaxation and healing properties. It was a shame that on our visit a few of the midrange temperature pools were closed. I do understand that they do need to be healthy to make us healthy!
