Rebekah Ward said... Good experience to have with children. However, to make it an exceptional experience more explanatory information would be useful outside each building, what it would have been made with, who made it, when, where were the items sourced from etc. for example, Were the clothes trained in, did the locals weave their own cloth, make their own glass for the windows? Was it sent from UK? What wood was used for the coffins? Who were the undertakers etc? Clarifying the times as opening at 10am yet hardly any shops were open for business. Horse rides and demonstrations happened as we left at 2. There weren’t any animals in the pens- horse area wasn’t made available to the public as this would have heightened the experience. The mine trip was fun. Access to the poppet head was great too as it allowed for a great view over the area.
