He repeatedly said that if we spotted whales on the way back, we would stop and watch them. My husband and I did see whales and pointed them out, but instead of stopping, he ignored it and carried on with his stories about islands and celebrities. It felt like he just didn’t care, and it really upset us because whale watching was something we were looking forward to. This lack of follow-through made the whole experience far less enjoyable than it could have been.
