I arrived at the airport expecting a helicopter & ski plane flight as booked, only to be told that I would be flying in a ski plane instead. They insisted the route was the same and kept emphasizing that I had paid a lower price, which felt dismissive and frustrating. They explained that the switch was due to a lack of passengers for the helicopter, which seemed like an unreasonable reason for changing my flight, especially since I had tried to book the experience online earlier for my friend (another one slot), and it showed that the slots were fully booked. Naturally, I assumed there were enough passengers to proceed with the helicopter as planned. Again, they did not address this concern and issue. So, I rescheduled for the next day after a staff member assured me that a confirmed helicopter and ski plane flight was scheduled for 10:30 am—though they warned that it would still depend on the weather. However, the following day, I received an email saying only the helicopter would be flying due to poor weather. I couldn’t understand how the helicopter could fly in those conditions but the ski plane couldn’t—it just didn’t make sense. Since I had paid for a combo experience and felt that the operator was not delivering on what was promised, I cancelled my booking due to bad weather and request a refund. Overall, this experience felt confusing and inconsistent (somewhat scam). Clear communication and a smoother refund process would go a long way in making customers feel valued.
