- Learn about bees including their lifecycle, why manuka honey is so amazing and the importance of bees to our global food chain.
- Put on a full-length bee suit and join an experienced Bee Keeper to help open an active hive to observe its inner workings
- Witness the different bees found in a hive and hopefully locate the Queen.

We’ll start with an informative digital presentation before donning a full-length bee suit and joining an experienced Bee Keeper to open and work an active hive. You’ll get to witness the inner workings of these amazing colonies while learning about their secrets from your friendly and knowledgeable guide.
Suitable for anyone 6 years and over, our fun and easy experience requires no physical fitness and is great for families with children sized bee suits available.

Unique experience
Fantastic tour and unique experience. I loved learning all about honey and the bees. Nick has so much information and is a terrific guide sharing his knowledge in a conversational way where you don’t feel like you are just being lectured to. Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend. The cafe has a great atmosphere and there are regional and distinct honeys available for purchase that you won’t find in a grocery store.

Wonderful tour
Very interesting experience and a lot of historical and amazing information. I had a wonderful time and after an opportunity to buy 100% natural honey or honeycombs. Very cozy cafe on the territory, it is possible to arrive early, drink coffee and enjoy the food before tour

Amazing!
One of the highlights of our visit to Queenstown. Nick was very knowledgeable and made honey bee keeping and honey making such an interesting and educational session. Highly recommended and worth the buzzzzzzz!
