You'll begin your adventure from Te Anau as you journey along Milford Road by comfortable coach and experience what is known as one of the world's most picturesque drives.

The stunning alpine setting is the perfect backdrop as you enjoy full commentary from your knowledgable driver, stopping at many different points of interest along the way for fantastic photograph opportunities. The Milford Cruise will get you up closer and further than any other cruise in the region, fully immersing you in Milford Sound and all its glory.

Sit back and relax as your cruise sets off to cover the entire length of the stunning 16km Fiord, cruising by some of the most iconic landmarks and natural displays of beauty including Mitre peak, Lady Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls. Due to the limited numbers of passengers on board, the cruise offers a much more authentic and intimate experience of this world-renowned scenic destination.

Whether sitting inside, or out on our viewing deck, you will have fantastic unobstructed photo opportunities as your friendly skipper provides a fascinating commentary on the highlights along the course of the cruise. After the cruise we will make our way back to Te Anau by Coach, arriving between 5.30-6pm.

Wunderschöne Natur

Aufgrund der Sperrung der Straße zum Milford Sound für Autos, waren die Busse voller als gewöhnlich. Das hat den Ausflug aber nicht schlechter gemacht, der Busfahrer hat die Situation erklärt und das Beste daraus gemacht. Der Busfahrer hat sehr viel erzählt und war unterhaltsame. Die Bootstour war sehr schön. Das Boot war groß genug und man war oben im freien um die Natur noch näher zu erleben. Alle Leute waren sehr nett.

Eine Busfahrt muss man mögen

Vorab: Wir sind nicht die Freunde von Busfahrten. Rein,raus, eng, viele Menschen. Allerdings hat der Busfahrer Jaimie von Fiordland Tours seine Sache sehr gut gemacht, mit Witz und vielen Infos sowie mehrmaligen Stopps bei Sehenswürdigkeiten wurden die knapp 3 Stunden doch sehr kurzweilig. Auf dem Boot,der "Mitre Peak", muss man sich schon drängeln, um unter den anderen rund 30 Mitfahrern die besten Plätze zu erhalten. Der Milford Sound ist schon sehr,sehr schön und auch dort gab es gut informiertes und freundliches Personal. Alles in allem eine runde Sache.

Tour mit vielen Fotostops+vielen Erläuterungen

Durch die vorher gesperrte Straße nach Milford, sind wir leider mit einem großen und komplett vollem Bus gefahren. Dadurch, dass wir so viele waren, hat es sehr lange gedauert, bis alle an jedem Stop ausgestiegen und wieder einsteigen sind... vielleicht hätte man die anfänglichen Stops auslassen können... die Bootstour hat mir am besten gefallen! Die Erläuterungen des Busfahrers waren teilweise hilfreich. Ich hätte es gut gefunden, gerade auf der Hinfahrt die Landschaft auch so einmal auf sich wirken zu lassen, ohne Kommentare :))
