Departing from Queenstown or Te Anau, you’ll encounter spectacular scenery from the get-go as we journey overland by coach.

Sit back and relax, enjoy informative commentary and soak up the awe-inspiring views of sheer mountains and towering cliffs, rugged valleys and native rain forest, surrounded by cascading waterfalls and glacial lakes. Our experienced, local coach driver will show you the best short walks and photo stops on the Milford Road, and will connect you seamlessly with our Milford Sound Nature or Scenic Cruise.

Board one of our modern catamarans and take in the grandeur of Milford Sound with panoramic views from the top deck, or lounge in comfort in the large covered seating areas below.

You will cruise the full length of the fiord to the Tasman Sea and enjoy the informative commentary on the abundant wildlife and natural history, stopping at waterfalls and points of interest on the way.

    Conditions:

    Not valid in conjunction with any other special offers or discounts.

    Buffet is included for adults and children.

    Children and infants must be accompanied by a full fare paying adult on all cruises.

    In accordance with New Zealand Law, all infants and children aged under 7 years must be correctly secured in an approved child seat while travelling in any Southern Discoveries coach. If you need to hire an approved child seat, we recommend you contact Tots on Tour on +64 3 442 0409.

The driver Pumba was great, very informative and thorough all the time… The buffet food on board was excellent… And the Milford Sound view was magical… Our family enjoyed the trip ❤️…

Spectacular experience

We loved our tour with SD! Our bus driver Keith was like an encyclopaedia, we learnt so much through out the day as well as getting to take in the beautiful scenery and lots of stops. We originally booked for a different day, and the team helped us with a last minute change which we were ever so thankful for. The cruise is truly one of a kind and a must see, especially during wetter weather or as the snow melts so you get to see the natural waterfalls. We were even lucky enough to spot two different seals! Also, the bus had a charging point and WiFi which was a hit amongst many too.

The coach and cruise is a must do. We had Greg as the coach driver, he is amazing !! A lot of historical knowledge about the place. The scenery is beautiful. Definitely recommend the coach and cruise with buffet !! Great food options.

A trip worth taking once in a lifetime

Our group had the best experience on this tour. Our driver Keith was very knowledgeable, he was like a talking encyclopaedia. I could listen to him narrate the wonderful views and natural phenomena all days Milford Sound is so captivating you don't want the cruise to end. Will definitely do it again in the future
