Whether your a first-timer kayaker or have done plenty of kayaking before, getting out on Lake Wakatipu is something that should not be missed on your trip to Queenstown.
Sit-on-top kayaks are fun, stable and extremely easy to use and a great activity for all ages and abilities. Paddle at your own pace or simply use the time to take scenic holiday photos that will be the envy of friends and family.
Once we have signed you in, lifejackets will be provided and there will be a short safety briefing before you will be shown the area to kayak. If you have no experience our team will teach you the basics of kayaking before letting you practice your new skills on the water.
As soon as you are sitting comfortably in your kayak, our staff will launch you into the water and you can head off explore the Queenstown Bay at your leisure!

Hi sorry you caught us on a bit of a hectic morning. Please do not call to confirm the booking slot 99% of the time we have our timings perfect. Our safety boat was indeed out of action yesterday. It’s now been fixed. You got a discounted price because your booking was the first slot for the day so please be patient whilst we set up our gear, and no need to turn up 15mins early, if you come prepared and ready we can often have your briefed and launched in under 5mins. Glad you were able to get out on the water and had a fab time. Thanks.

Must do, perfect view!
This is an all ages activity, with single and double kayaks available. The views are impeccable with a large area to kayak. No swimmers (bathers) needed, ideal for people that hesitate doing other water-based activities.

Amazing value
Had the best time. The lake was so serene and perfect for kayaking with an amazing backdrop. Got a great deal and the guys there were so nice and helpful, wouldn’t hesitate to book again next time we visit!

Loved the kayaking, weren’t very organised
We went 15 mins before our booked time and there was nobody there, apart from a man trying to get a boat to start who turned out to be in charge of the kayaks. We waited 15 mins sitting next to the kayaks before we realised he was in charge, would’ve thought he would come over to us sitting right next to the kayaks. He told us the boat wasn’t working and to come back in an hour or so. Was a bit of a miscommunication because we didn’t realise we needed to come back exactly at 12. Came back at 12:30 and they had given a kayak away but we got to use a double kayak and it was great fun! I would suggest calling up to confirm your booking before going but otherwise the experience was great :)
