Take the Gondola up, rising to an impressive 1649m before stepping onto the viewing platform to relish the 360 degree world-famous view stretching from Wakatipu Basin towards the Southern Alps.
Grab a bite from Cafe 1200 and find a spot to enjoy while overlooking the epic mountain trails.
Experience the gorgeous views of Coronet Peak and Queenstown with a stunning Gondola Pass and return transport!
Itinerary
- 10am meet at Duke Street in the center or Queenstown
- Depart by bus to Coronet Peak base building
- Ride the gondola to the summit
- Explore the summit and absord the 360 degree views
- Unwind in the cafe
- 12.30pm bus back to Queenstown
- 1pm Arrive back in Queenstown

Perfect day
It was great to be driven up to save stress if navigating to top and being able to enjoy scenery instead. Had perfect weather and drop off, time at the top and pick seamless. Only negative was need clearer information and signage where pick up spot is. That created a bit of stress and no one answered the phone. The nice people at Ultimate Hikes told us where it was.

An awesome day out.
As a family we all really enjoyed this trip out, it was very relaxing and the lady that dove the bus was lovely. We took the ski lift up to the peak and came down in the gondola, the weather was excellent so we spent a bit of time at the peak. I would recommend this trip to anyone. We loved it
