Often referred to as the ‘Jewel of Wanaka’ this secluded and beautiful island is home to a range of native plants and boasts outstanding views across Lake Wanaka and it’s surrounding mountains.
Once on the island you‘ll be free to explore the grounds as you wish.

Very nice and lovely experience
The boat was small but fun to be driven to ruby island for 10 -15 min. The driver was fun and engaging. Bush walk was 20 min and perfect for first timers. Overall good experience to have and views were good too.

Great fun for the kids
Boys loved the boat ride and all the sights they could see. Fantastic hosts, made a slightly rainy outing fun and interesting for the kids. Great wee adventure for locals and visitors. Thanks so much!

Amazing and affordable experience
Wonderful boat trip to Ruby island that nobody should missed. We went on a sunny day and it was picture perfect surroundings. So many beautiful places to capture on the way to the island and within the island. Nice description on background. We enjoyed it a lot.
