Welcome to the Wellspace Sauna Club, where relaxation meets connection! In just 75 minutes, immerse yourself in a unique experience that combines the soothing warmth of our wood-fired barrel sauna with the exhilarating chill of cold plunge therapy. Picture yourself surrounded by nature, engaging in deep conversations, and forging genuine connections with fellow sauna enthusiasts.
Our community sauna sessions are designed for everyone, whether you're looking to unwind after a long week, recover from a night out, or simply crave a refreshing escape. With a maximum group size of 8, you’ll enjoy an intimate atmosphere that fosters real interactions. Feel the stress melt away as you alternate between the cozy sauna and invigorating dips in the icy Kawarau River.
But it’s not just about the sauna! Relax in our outdoor lounge, gather around the fire pit, and sip on complimentary herbal tea while soaking in the vibrant community vibes. No membership is required—just come as you are and join us for a truly revitalizing experience!
Itinerary
- Arrive at Wellspace Sauna Club, 15 minutes early to check in
- Enjoy 3 x 15-minute rounds in the wood-fired barrel sauna.
- Take a refreshing dip in the cold plunge or Kawarau River

Try it!
Always good to try something new! Lovely, fun experience in a well thought out, relaxing vibe. The sauna was fab, with a short, quick walk down to the lake for the cold plunge dip (which we did in -2 degrees!). Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot
Beautiful spot on the lake and lovely host. Only concern was that 8 of us were crammed into a very small sauna, where we think 4-6 people should’ve been the maximum. We were touching the people on either side of us and some of our group were sat in the corner right next to the burner and it was hard to not touch it and get burnt. Felt like a bit of a safety concern. But if there were less people inside this would’ve been perfect - otherwise great experience!

Our saunas are designed to create a traditional, intimate, community-style experience, which is part of what makes them so special. That said, we completely understand your comments around comfort and safety when the sauna is at full capacity, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. We're already looking at reducing the capacity for private and group bookings once our new sauna arrives in October, which will give us more flexibility and create a more comfortable experience for everyone.
