The salesperson strongly pushed us to take it out in case the bikes broke down, and also told us we needed to keep the bikes on level 1 or 2 so we didn’t “tire them out” and end up having to carry them back ourselves. In reality, we completed a 20 km ride and only used 1 of the 4 battery bars, so the advice felt unnecessarily cautious and somewhat sales-driven rather than genuinely informative. I don’t want this to take away from what was otherwise a great experience, but I do think the business would benefit from some staff training around how insurance is explained and sold. Customers should be given clear, factual information about what is covered, what the real risks are, and whether insurance is genuinely necessary, rather than feeling pressured into paying extra. The bikes themselves were excellent, and I’d still recommend the experience. I just think a more transparent and customer-focused approach to insurance would make the whole process feel much better.
