He also showed us the recommended route due to a slip on the track and even took us to point out where we would need to leave the trail and rejoin which was super helpful. Mark had lots of interesting knowledge about Wanaka which he shared with us on the drive out to Hawea, including an excellent recommendation to stop at the fantastic French bakery in Albert Town. The cycle was beautiful, fairly flat and easy enough to be completed on a regular mountain bike. Despite the cold temps, there are some beautiful sheltered spots to stop for a photo / snack and you certainly warm up once moving! Thanks for a fantastic day, we will certainly be back when we are next in the area and would fully recommend this trip and this company to anyone considering a scenic cycle!!
