This tour is not only for Lord of The Rings fan but also Great sceneries on the way to Glenorchy. I'm a huge fan of LOTR and Hobbit and It was absolutely dreams come true. If you visit Queenstown, It is a must things to try. The tour is half day about 4-4.5 hours in the morning or in the afternoon so can plan the last of the day for another activity. The reason why need to join the tour is The operator can only access some film locations so It will be even worth if you rent a car. The scenery of Glenorchy was exceptional. The tour guide explained well where the movie was filmed. And The highlight was you will have opportunity to wear the costumes at the actual film locations. They provide you tea and some snacks as well. Me and everyone at the tour all enjoyed and had great time. I highly recommend this tour. I also appreciate Pure Glenorchy(tour operator) that I left my beanie in the tour bus and they kindly give it back to me. They responded me quickly on time and I'm very glad their help.

Great experience
Our โItalian Smรฉagolโ was a wonderful tour guide with lots of anecdotes and information about the areas we were driving through. The scenery was spectacular and lots of photo opportunities. Loved the dress up and movie still-location comparisons.

Middle Earth Experience
Fantastic journey from beginning to end. Joel is an amazing guide with lots of in-depth knowledge and full of fun facts. We enjoyed a hot cuppa tea and slice nestled in amongst the stunning mountains and lake surroundings of Glenorchy. You can see why Paradise was used in soo many movies just for the sheer beauty there. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a fan of LOTR or not. The Scenery is magical and my hubby enjoyed riding shotgun opening and closing the gates. ๐๐พ
