We opted to go with Southern Discoveries, their discount made such a difference to being able to do both Milford Sound, and Doubtful Sound in one weekend. The naughty keas provided great entertainment for all the tour buses at one particular spot before the Homer Tunnel. The coach driver stopped at plenty of scenic spots on the way in, for photo opportunities, and while on the bus he gave a running commentary, not just of Milford and Te Anau, but of NZ as a whole, which even for a Kiwi was very interesting. The cruise was a lovely boat, the casual food was very good, we opted not to do the hot food buffet, but it certainly looked worth the extra charge, maybe next time. We had a great day out!
