Get ready to discover what has been called the "eighth wonder of the world" with RealNZ on-board the Milford Sound Cruise.

You'll enjoy the ultimate Milford Sound experience combining informative commentary and a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of majestic sights. The vessel cruises the full length of the Fiord and boasts spacious indoor lounges and outdoor decks to ensure you don't miss a thing.

Feel the spray of waterfalls as we cruise right next to sheer rock faces, and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife including dolphins, seals and, in season, the rare Fiordland crested penguins. The experienced skippers plan each trip based on weather conditions and recent wildlife sightings to ensure you are getting the very best Milford Sound experience on the day.

Location

  • Milford Sound Visitor Terminal, Milford Sound.
  • Allow approximately 5 hours drive time from Queenstown or 3 hours from Te Anau.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • Drive Time to Milford Sound: Traveling from Queenstown it will take around 5hrs to reach Milford. From Te Anau to Milford takes around 2hrs 20mins. This timing allows you to enjoy the journey with a few stops along the way. Make sure you fill your vehicle with petrol in Te Anau before traveling to Milford as there are no petrol stations in Milford Sound or en route.

    Parking - From Oct 1st 2021 - $25 for up to five hours. - $50 for overnight parking between the hours of 5pm 8am. Payment for parking is by credit card machine. Please allow a 10 minute walk from the car park to the terminal. Allow up to 20 minutes during Dec-Mar to park and ride to terminal.

    Please Note: a substitute vessel may be used on occasion. (The Haven, The Mariner, or The Sovereign- subject to availability based on which vessel is operating on the day and time) All inclusions will still apply.

If you’re not sure if you should bother then think again . Amazing and beautiful natural experience. The drive was fine and going through the tunnel was a great experience. RealNZ provided a very comfortable and enjoyable cruise. All amenities onboard were first rate from helpful and knowledgeable staff to refreshments . Great day out!
