Your evening begins with a magical cruise across Lake Wakatipu aboard the TSS Earnslaw, a vintage steamship launched in 1912 and rich in local pioneering history. She is the only hand-fired commercial passenger carrying vessel in the Southern Hemisphere.
Arriving at Walter Peak High Country Farm on the opposite side of the lake it is time to disembark for the ambience of the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant situated in beautiful gardens.
The menu includes an extensive range of local and New Zealand produce, succulent meats cooked on the rotisserie, a delicious range of vegetables and salads. Then finish with your dining experience with tantalising desserts, cheeses and freshly brewed tea and coffee.
After dinner enjoy a stroll around the beautiful gardens or join our farmer in the amphitheatre for our beloved farm show which includes a sheep shearing demonstration.
The entertainment continues on the spectacular night-time cruise home, where you can join in on a sing-a-long with the ship's pianist or just enjoy the fresh air and stunning views on the deck as the sparkling lights of Queenstown draw closer.

A Must-Do Queenstown Experience
A fantastic Queenstown experience! The cruise across Lake Wakatipu on the historic TSS Earnslaw was beautiful, with stunning views throughout. The Walter Peak gourmet BBQ dinner was delicious ,, with excellent quality food and a great variety. The farm and sheepdog demonstration was a fun, uniquely Kiwi touch. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere made the whole evening memorable. Highly recommended.

It is a ‘must do’ in Queenstown
There are no words to describe how cool this experience is, you have to be there to experience it. From the modern town centre of Queenstown, you hop into history and experience the vessel which has been kept in it’s natural form The BBQ dinner was magnificent. It was very well organised and the buffet spread was grand! Definitely ate like royalty.

Earnslaw cruise, dinner and show
An absolutely incredible experience. Would definitely recommend to everyone and also attend again myself. Just don’t have a huge lunch as the bbq buffet dinner is delicious.
