Experience the magic of Lake Rotoiti as you take a cruise to discover its cultural gems and geothermal hot pools!
Just outside of Rotorua, you have the opportunity to step off the beaten path and join us for a cruise and hot pool soak on Lake Rotoiti.
Often bypassed due to accessibility, Lake Rotoiti has an abundance of geothermal and cultural gems tucked away in its bays which are only accessible by boat. Lucky for you, we have a few vessels at our disposal, and we canβt wait to show you some of our favourite spots.
Your trip will run for three hours, during which our skippers will delight you with some of our favourite places on the lake. Explore a geothermal bay only accessible by boat, and marvel at the abundant bird life that calls Lake Rotoiti home.
Also included is a stop at the Lake Rotoiti Hot Pools, where you will have an hour and a half to enjoy a tranquil soak overlooking the lake and to enjoy a beverage at the onsite cafe and bar.
This is the perfect trip if you are looking to experience the magic of Rotorua and itβs incredible natural hot pools away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist attractions in town.
From beginning to end the experience was absolutely lovely. Our host/driver was kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and funny. On the way to the springs we stopped off at a old Maori village on the lake. We were taught about the farming and fishing practices. As well as the role the geothermal waters played in crop growing and meal cooking. Upon arrival at the springs we were given a brief history of the pools and layout of the springs. The pools themselves were just amazing! Many different pools at different temperatures. A slide and jumping post on the lake for those brave enough to get into the cold water!! Overall an excellent afternoon with a great host would recommend this trip for couples looking to relax as well as families wanting a quiet day on the lake! There are bbqs on site as well.
Martin was an excellent guide and showed us the hot beach. Where food was grown and cooked. Excitement when water came on board. Hot pools were hot and are in different levels of temperatures. Food and drinks are available there. Great time thank you
We really enjoyed our trip on Lake Rotoiti. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words, we are stoked to have such a great place to spend the days.
A great trip Martin told us lots of historical events around the Lake!
Martin is a special guy and the best for the history of the lake. Thank you, I'll pass this on to him for you.
