Accessible only by boat the geothermal field is filled with natural wonders that you can explore at a relaxed pace. Steeped in rich cultural history, Orakei Korako has been an important settlement site of Ngati Tahu for many generations. The natural geothermal resources here were once used for cooking, drinking, bathing and healing.
This stunning landscape boasts explosive geysers, bubbling hot mud pools, beautiful silica terraces and New Zealand's only geothermal cave! Enjoy walking along the boardwalk to see all this magical place has to offer. There is a café on-site for those who would like to break for a drink or snack - please note it is currently only open on the weekends - the tour is available 7 days a week. Once you have finished exploring this natural wonder we will transport you back to Rotorua in our comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.

Awesome day out
We really enjoyed our morning tour with Ric. It ended up being just the two of us and sure enough they came and picked us up and took us in a van down to the Orakei geysers. Well worth the money and hassle-free service.
