Explore the Māori Rock Carvings, one of the most extraordinary contemporary carvings in the world. Only view-able from the water, the likeness of Ngātoroirangi towers 14-meters above Lake Taupō.

Great experience for a great price!
I really enjoyed the sailing tour, the boat is in excellent conditions and you can actually help to hoist the sails. I would definitely do it again.

A perfect mix of adventure and relaxation
The boat itself was beautiful and full of character, making the whole trip relaxing and unique. The crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome throughout the journey. Bonus points — the crew are secretly professional photographers too 📸😂 They knew all the best angles and made sure we left with enough photos to confuse Instagram into thinking we own a yacht on Lake Taupō ⛵️

Amazing value for a luxury experience
I got upgraded to the catamaran the morning of the trip, and the operators were very responsive when I inquired about the schedule. There wasn't enough wind to sail so we had to use the motor, but it was a calm day and the boat is very spacious and well equipped with bean bags to relax in. There are blankets for use inside, comfortable seating inside out of the wind, and they have free water, a hot drink, gingernut cookies, sunscreen and hand sanitizer available. You could also purchase snacks and other drinks on board. The operators were informative and friendly, and the carvings were amazing to see. We anchored near the carvings for guests to swim in the lake. You can jump off the roof of the boat and Lake Taupo has amazingly clear, clean water. The staff even provided towels for guests after the swim. There were two bathrooms on board. It's a wonderful way to spend a morning - highly recommend!

An amazing trip!
We went in the morning and it could not be better. We had the privilege of spending part of our morning in the most beautiful lake enjoying the carvings….the experience was 10/10… highly recommended!

Fantastic Sailing Trip
On a perfect day, to sail with David, and his little mate Sam, on a classic sailboat was an unforgettable experience! It was great to set sails, although in light winds, and hear the interesting background to the Maori carvings and Lake Taupo in general. Appreciated the cool drink on offer, and we couldn't wish for a more pleasant afternoon.
