This place is certainly worth a visit. The tracks are great, well maintained & sign posted. Although we didn't get to see a lot of birds we could hear them & still enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful surroundings.
A nice day out for a family walk. Lots of interesting fact boards to read and the tower was cool to look out from.
We loved the walk. Amazing Matai and Rata trees
Interesting tracks, incredibly peaceful with lots of birdsong. I enjoyed the information given in the track about both fauna and flora.

A piece of heaven on earth
Beautiful setting. Hard to spot the birds as canopy high. Trails are fairly steep so reasonable fitness needed. Can stay as long as you like and go as far as you want so no pressure. Plenty of seating areas where you can rest and allow the birds to come to you. The forest itself is worth walking through. The staff are super friendly and very helpful in helping you plan your time there. Definitely worth visiting.
