Larissa Schottler said... Originally I booked the tour on the Kakariki boat but was then transferred to the eco sailing tour. That’s fine and all but I was only informed of this not even 1 hour before departure. What I found disappointing was that the tour guide didn’t talk to us all that much. We had to sit at the front of the sail, because the sitting area in the back was full. So while the people in the back got to talk to the guide and probably got some information about the cruise, we didn’t. That day the sea was pretty rough, so the weaves were quite big. What made the trip a bad experience for me personally, was that we weren’t notified that we could get splashed while sitting in the front area of the sail( my first time on a boat like this so I didn’t know it beforehand). And since we are sleeping in a tent, there was no opportunity for us to warm ourselves up, since it was also the 5 pm tour. Would have appreciated if we were told about the possibility of getting wet beforehand, since by the one we arrived at the carvings we were soaked. Then had to endure the ride back with wet clothes, no sun and wind. But the carvings were still marvelous! The view kind of made up for the trip we had. So all in all a nice Tour but I defenitely would have enjoyed it more on another boat. Captain still did a great job on getting us to the carvings and back with the rough sea.
